Project Overview
The Baoshan Wusong Innovation City transformation project, co-designed by FTA Group GmbH and TJAD, is located in Baoshan Wusong Innovation City, Shanghai. The project aims to create a new generation of international science and technology innovation communities led by scientific and technological innovation, industrial agglomeration, and deep integration of industry and city. The total construction area of the project is nearly 70,000 square meters, including a super high-rise general scientific research building about 149 meters high, which is a key project for Baoshan District to promote “North Transformation” and urban renewal. With the continuous acceleration of urbanization, urban renewal is imminent. The project will integrate current advanced design concepts and technical levels to construct the skyline of North Shanghai and recreate the “steel myth” of this industrial metropolis.
Design Philosophy and Highlights
Science and Technology Leadership: The project takes scientific and technological innovation as its core, introduces industrial functions, and aims to build a regional industrial headquarters center to promote the transformation and upgrading of industries in the Wusong Industrial Zone.
Industry-City Integration: The project emphasizes the integration of industry and city by integrating education, scientific research, and design land to create a high-quality industrial headquarters aggregation area.
Urban Renewal Demonstration: As a demonstration project for urban renewal in Baoshan District, the design scheme has been reviewed and approved by the district government, specifying the building form, functional layout, and public welfare facilities.
