Project Overview
The Donghai County Business District City Design project, designed by UPDIS (Shenzhen Urban Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd.), is located in the Donghai County Business District. The planning scope extends from Zhonghua Road in the east, to Jingdu Avenue in the south, to the western side of Bosch Group’s Changping River, and expands north to the high-voltage corridor north of Fuguo Road, covering a total area of 5.24 square kilometers. The project centers around the three signature cards of Donghai County: crystal, Xishuang Lake, and hot springs, using systematic thinking to accurately position the spatial planning of the area, integrate existing resources, and carefully layout the spatial form and related industries of the area. The aim is to build a functional block facing the future, transforming the Business District into a new urban area known as the “Waterfront Park City, Crystal Metropolitan Living Room.”
Design Philosophy and Highlights
Spatial Layout Structure: The project upgrades the original spatial layout structure of the Crystal Town control plan from “one axis, two cores, three areas” to “one axis, three cores, three groups,” aiming for more efficient land use and urban development.
New Urban Area: The city design of the Business District aims to create a new urban area that includes a batch of landmark projects such as the Crystal Building, commercial complexes, characteristic blocks, financial buildings, and live-streaming e-commerce industrial parks.
Modern Urban Landmark: Through city design guidance, the project aims to develop the Business District into a high-quality urban area, creating a modern urban landmark.
